RingGo, the UK’s no.1 parking app, has won the European Parking Award in the on-street parking projects category for its world-leading Emissions Based Parking solution.
The solution rewards motorists driving low emission vehicles with lower parking tariffs, thereby incentivising motorists to save money, drive cleaner vehicles, and reduce their carbon footprint. The scheme is currently operational in Westminster, Camden, Islington and the City of London.
The prestigious European Parking Award, presented by the European Parking Association, reaffirms the value of Emissions Based Parking and its role in improving air quality. It also demonstrates our continuing drive to create cleaner, healthier and more liveable towns and cities.

“It’s great to win a European Parking Award and see recognition for our innovative Emissions Based Parking solution,” said Peter O’Driscoll, UK Country Manager, RingGo. “I am grateful to Kay English, Traffic Manager for City of London, for working with us and being willing to embrace our innovative solution. Kay has been an integral part of the team developing this solution to not only discourage the use of more polluting vehicles but also promote the use of environmentally friendly vehicles.”
“This award is very important to us because it puts our market-leading solutions in the international spotlight. We are against such a high level of competition in this industry, so to stand out with this award is fantastic” said Marc de Vries, CEO, PARK NOW. “The EBP solution has great social impact and is driving forward the creation of cleaner, healthier, more liveable towns and cities.”
The award is another addition to RingGo’s trophy cabinet; adding to a collection including four British Parking Awards and one international Intertraffic Award.
